It's MS Awareness Week!

Bike MS Facebook Cover Thumb B

This week is all about raising awareness and supporting those who live with MS and the mission of the National MS Society. Nearly 1 million people are diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in the United States. There isn't a known cause, symptoms come and go, there is no cure, and you often can't even tell that someone has MS. Help us share the message this week by doing the following things:

·         Wear ORANGE! It is a simple way to support our mission and get the conversation going.

·         Update your social media profile photos with a frame and update your cover photo with one of our official Bike MS photos that can be found on the Bike MS website here!

·         Share your story when you are recruiting and fundraising this month. Help people to understand the why behind what you are doing. Use your participant center and social media to make those asks.

·         Be Inspired and Inspire others by sharing stories of those living with MS. These stories are located here and can be easily shared via email or through your favorite social media platform.
This is a week to raise awareness and celebrate the progress we have made taking the sting out of MS. Thanks so much for riding with us! Go Bees!

$73,000 Raised and Counting!

Sugarbees! Thanks to all of you for a great 2017 Bike MS event! According to our Team's page, we've raised $73,000 as of July 28. But remember, just because the ride is over doesn't mean it's too late to raise more money to help take the sting out of MS! You can continue to raise money toward this year's ride. Here's two dates you want to note for fundraising deadlines:

August 4, 2017: If you're aim is to qualify for a prize from the MS Society.

September 30, 2017: Or maybe you're like the beautiful Bees below and say 'who cares about a prize - riding for the best damn team is prize enough'.

Supporting TSB All Year Round

Shjon works to fight
MS all year long
TSB riders, volunteers and supporters are the BEST! Your efforts don't stop after the 2-day ride, but continue all year round. Fifteen-year-old TSB rider Shjon Richard (left) posted a photo of the team's namesake, Kelly 'Sugarbee' Walker (below) and a donation jar at his (first) job working at Mac's Place in Longmont. Owners Keith and Teresa MacPhail are so supportive of the MS-150 fundraising they are putting this front and center in their restaurant. Way to spread the TSB love Shjon, Keith and Teresa! Thank you to all of you who support TSB to 'take the sting out of MS'.

Next time you're in Longmont, stop by Mac's Place for a delicious breakfast or lunch and meet these great people. http://macsplaceco.com/
