Donate to Team Sugar Bee for Bike MS 2025

This summer, join Team Sugarbee in the fight against multiple sclerosis by supporting our participation in the 40th annual Bike MS: Colorado on June 28–29, 2025.

Team Sugarbee was founded in 1993 in honor of Kelly "Sugar Bee" Walker, who was diagnosed with MS in her twenties. After 33 years battling MS, Kelly passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family on May 3, 2022 due to complications from this devastating disease. She was a shining star to all who knew and loved her.

Donating to Team Sugar Bee is a direct way to support those living with MS. Every dollar raised funds critical research, provides resources for individuals affected by MS, and supports advocacy efforts aimed at ending the disease. Your contribution helps provide a clearer path to a cure and ensures that no one faces MS alone.

Thanks to many generous donors and dedicated riders, Team Sugar Bee has raised over $2 million for the Colorado/Wyoming chapter of the National MS Society over the years. With your help, we can raise an additional $100,000 in 2025.

To donate, visit the official Team Sugar Bee Bike MS fundraising page linked below. Every donation, big or small, brings us one step closer to a world free of MS. Thank you!

Kelly Sugar Bee Walker Student Hive Open for Business

To celebrate Kelly Walker's advocacy, leadership, and dedication to student wellness at Colorado State University, the Kelly "Sugar Bee" Walker Student Hive was created. In the Student Hive, students can rest, recharge, and focus on their wellness and health. The Student Hive is located on the second floor of the Moby Arena, right across from Kelly's former office in the Department of Health and Exercise Science.

The Hive was officially opened in November 2023 with many of Kelly's family and friends joining in the celebration. Thank you to CSU for creating this very special space and to all of the donors whose generosity helped make it a reality. Read more about this special event here.

Kelly Walker (B.S., '88; M.S., '91, '02) was an instructor in the Department of Health and Exercise Science at Colorado State University and served as the fieldwork coordinator for health promotion and sports medicine. She worked tirelessly for students until her early retirement due to her multiple sclerosis diagnosis. After retiring, Kelly continued to support and invest in students by becoming a scholarship donor. On May 3, 2022, Kelly passed away with her family by her side.

To celebrate Kelly's advocacy, leadership, and dedication to student wellness at Colorado State University, the Kelly Walker Student Hive has been created. In the Student Hive, students can rest, recharge, and focus on their wellness and health. The Student Hive will be located on the second floor of the Moby Arena, right across from Kelly's former office.
