Sugar Bees, You Are Awesome!
Kelly 'Sugar Bee' Walker was at the Bee Tent after Saturday's ride to encourage and inspire all the riders and volunteers. |
It was great fun seeing all of you at the Bee Stop for lunch, the Bee Tent on Saturday, and at the end of the ride on Sunday. Seeing Kelly (The Sugar Bee) at the Bee Tent energized us all for Sunday's ride. Congratulations to all of you Sugar Bee’s on a job well done.
BTW...make sure to get your pledge money in by August 8, 2014, for the different individual award levels. Our team goal is to raise $100,000 and we were at $66,000 at the start of the ride.

Kelly Walker Named 2014 Bike MS Champion
Kelly 'Sugar Bee' Walker |
She is one of 12 Champions featured on the bandanna with a signature, photo and their MS story. All CO & WY riders will get a bandanna in their packet to wear during their ride. We are so proud of her and ability to inspire so many other people to help work to eradicate MS.
Read her entire story and be inspired. Here's an excerpt: "I can relate to the saying “Life is 90 percent attitude and 10 percent situation.” Sure, I face challenges living with MS, but my choice is either to be angry, bitter, and think of myself as ill, or to lead my life centered around wellness, love, laughter and hope to walk or even ride a bike again someday. I choose the wellness option! I want to help “Take the Sting Out of MS!”

It was a Super Bowl-a-Thon!
Thanks to all of you who came out to support Team Sugarbee at our annual bowl-a-thon. Fittingly it was held on Super Bowl Sunday. So while Bronco fans weren't too happy with the outcome of their game, Bee fans were delighted with the bowling, raffle, fun, smiles and $ raised to help support the Team and help take the sting out of MS.
We want to give a special thank you to Bees Gavin and Paige who organized a spare change drive at their school for MS and Team Sugar Bee. This is their 2nd year doing this and they expanded to 6 classrooms this year. They raised $200.22 in a week and presented the check to Team Sugarbee at the bowl-a-thon. Thanks Gavin, Paige, Turnberry school teachers and students for your donations! All you Bees have the biggest hearts!
