2018 Thanks from Team Captain Tim Walker, Jr.

Kelly 'Sugar Bee' Walker and
Team Captain Tim Walker, Jr.
(L-R) Betty 'Mom' Walker, Jim Pietrangelo,
Tim 'Pops" Walker, Sr. & Kelly 'Sugar Bee' Walker.
Thanks for riding in Bike MS this year! Great job!  Saturday was great. Kelly was glad to see everyone at the tent and appreciates all of your efforts to fight MS.

Thanks to Rebecka, Charlotte & sister, Fran, Leslie, Mariah, Pat, Kathy, Wolfe, Judy, Kelly and Pops and Mom Sugar Bee for setting up and working the Sugar Bee Tent in Fort Collins.  The tent was great!
We met up at the TSB tent at CSU Fort Collins
for a well deserved rest after Saturday's ride.
For the first time in 26 years we had to SAG in from rest stop #4 because of hail, rain and lightning. We were 25 miles from finishing the ride, but still enjoyed the finish line festivities and knowing we were fighting MS.  Hope all of you made it in safe and dry. Thanks for another great year! Tim Jr.
Clouds are moving in on Sunday.
Sheltering from Sunday's weather.

Hail curtailed the end of the ride on Sunday, but not our spirits.

2018 Day of the Ride Instructions

Well it's almost here...just a few more days until the 2018 Bike MS event. Wahoo! Thanks again for fighting MS as a Sugar Bee. Here's some last minute information about the ride:

SATURDAY, JUNE 23

THE START
  • We leave from the Team Sugar Bee starting chute Saturday morning around 6:00 AM. There's 60+ Bees riding this year, so just look for a hive of bright yellow jerseys.
  • If you have to pick up your packet, be at Front Range CC by 5:00 am to allow time for breakfast, luggage, etc.
 THE TEAM TENT
  • The Team Sugar Bee Tent will be decorated in yellow and black and easy to spot in the Team Village.
  • Friends and family of riders can register as a Festival Participant at either of the Information Tents. As a Festival Participant, you will receive a wristband for the beer service, access to dinner, and an event t-shirt.
  • The Awards Ceremonies on Saturday are at 3:00 pm in Fort Collins.
  • We will swarm over to the team photo area around 5:00 pm. Please wear a jersey, polo or Bee T- shirt.
 SUNDAY, JUNE 24
  • Sugar Bees leave at various times Sunday morning and meet up at rest stops along the ride. We finish the ride with fellow Bees who ride at a similar pace and stay at the Finish Line awhile to cheer and enjoy the end of the ride festivities.
Any last minute questions, post them on TSB's Facebook page or Contact Us page and we'll get right back to you.

Words of Encouragement from Kelly 'Sugar Bee' Walker

In her usual good humor or never ending encouragement, here's two messages from the Sugar Bee herself, Kelly Walker, to all Team Sugar Bee riders and supporters - with a little help from Home Bee. Ride safe and ride hard to take the sting out of MS during this weekend's Bike MS! Go Bees!

"Hey Home Bee, are you gearing up for the bike ride...oops."
Home Bee says "Do as I say, not as I do. Ride Safe!"

"All injury jokes aside...have fun, stay hydrated like
Home Bee and go Team Sugar Bee! Thank you so much."

Share the news with everyone you know and help take the sting out of MS. The really exciting thing about helping the National MS Society is that they believe a cure for this disease will be found IN OUR LIFETIME! Thanks for supporting our efforts in the MS-150 Bike Tour and for joining the fight against MS!
