13th Annual Bowl-a-Thon February 5

It's time for the annual Team Sugarbee Bowl-a-thon on Sunday, February 5. Why do you think they call if Super Bowl Sunday? Well yes there is that other Super Bowl, but kickoff isn't until 3:30 so you won't miss a play by joining us earlier that day. All ages and skill levels are welcome to this worthy cause.

Proceeds will be used to augment the Sugar Bee's fund raising efforts for the 2017 Bike MS ride. The team's goal is to raise $100,000 in 2017. We have been one of the top fundraisers for many years and we're getting closer to the $2 million mark every ride!
  • When: Sunday, February 5, from 9:00 a.m. - 1 p.m.
  • Where: Brunswick Zone - 9751 W. 49th Avenue in Wheatridge (east of I-70 & Kipling)
  • Cost: $15 per person for three games. This includes your shoes and one door prize ticket.
  • Additional door prize tickets may be purchased before the drawings. We're lining up a bevvy of great items again this year.
  • A full service snack bar and the game room will be open, too.
RSVP by January 31, to Tim or Betty at their home or cell number. If you don't have those, use our contact form and we'll make sure they get it. We need to know how many lanes to reserve. Hoping to see everyone there.

P.S. A big, big thanks to Brunswick Zone for hosting this fundraiser every year! We appreciate their support.

More accolades for Team Sugarbee during the recent MS Top Fundraiser Banquet at the Westin in downtown Denver. The Team was awarded 2nd place for Friends & Family team fundraising for the Colorado/Wyoming MS Society. Together you raised a total of $105,901 for the Bike MS event held in June 2016.

Tim "Terrific" Walker, Jr. (Captain of Team Sugarbee), accepted the award on behalf of the Team. Also of note, Tim Walker, Jr. and Eric Walker were recognized as returning members of the Top 100 Fundraiser Club. As we learn of other TSB members who reached this goal, we'll list them here.

NMSS Lifetime Achievment Award for Mom & Pops Sugarbee

Congratulations to Betty & Tim Walker aka (Mom and Pops Sugarbee) who received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the National MS Society at the recent MS Top Fundraiser Banquet. They are being honored for their 20+ years of volunteer service as co-captains of the Team Sugarbee Volunteers at rest stops and the lunch stops for Bike MS-150 Tours since 1996.

I know every Team Sugarbee volunteer and rider is so proud of these two and the entire Walker family for their tireless efforts.

In an email to Team Sugarbee supporters, Betty had the following words of thanks, "Thank you to all of our family and friends who have helped us work the Team Sugarbee rest stops all of these years. This award is a result of all of the work you have done to help Team Sugarbee TAKE THE STING OUT OF MS! We couldn't have done this without YOU! ALL OF OUR LOVE COMES BUZZING YOUR WAY!!!"
