It's MS Awareness Week!

Bike MS Facebook Cover Thumb B

This week is all about raising awareness and supporting those who live with MS and the mission of the National MS Society. Nearly 1 million people are diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in the United States. There isn't a known cause, symptoms come and go, there is no cure, and you often can't even tell that someone has MS. Help us share the message this week by doing the following things:

·         Wear ORANGE! It is a simple way to support our mission and get the conversation going.

·         Update your social media profile photos with a frame and update your cover photo with one of our official Bike MS photos that can be found on the Bike MS website here!

·         Share your story when you are recruiting and fundraising this month. Help people to understand the why behind what you are doing. Use your participant center and social media to make those asks.

·         Be Inspired and Inspire others by sharing stories of those living with MS. These stories are located here and can be easily shared via email or through your favorite social media platform.
This is a week to raise awareness and celebrate the progress we have made taking the sting out of MS. Thanks so much for riding with us! Go Bees!

Team Recruitment Challenge Feb. 3-9, 2020

It's time to start thinking about 2020's BikeMS Ride June 27 & 28! Team Sugar Bees' 2020 fundraising goal is $100,000! We did it in 2019, and we can do it again! We currently have 26 riders and have raised $1,700 to date.

To get things moving even more, Bike MS is holding a Team Recruitment Challenge February 3-9. If we register more riders than any other team in our division* during that week, we will win a separate VIP area in the CSU Bike Compound. Just think of it...no more looking for your bike among the thousands parked at CSU on Saturday afternoon and early Sunday morning.

PAST RIDERS get a discount on 2020's registration based on the amount they raised last year:
  • More than $3,350+ use code BikeMSstar
  • $1,000-$3,349 use code BikeVIP
  • Less than $1,000 use code TeamUp
NEW RIDERS use code NewRider for a 25% discount on their registration.

So spread the word! Invite a friend to join Team Sugar Bee. And if you haven't already registered yourself, don't delay. It's going to be a great year!

*Divisions are based on the number of riders on the team

2019's Words of Encouragement from Kelly 'Sugar Bee' Walker

As in year's past, Kelly 'Sugar Bee' Walker has a message of love, thanks and encouragement for all Team Sugar Bee riders and supporters as we counted down the days to this year's Bike MS ride.

"We have the best team ever!
Go Sugar Bees! Woohoo!"

And thanks Kelly, for giving a big shout out to Robyn Moore on her first Bike MS tour as the new President of the Colorado/Wyoming at National MS Society.

2019 Day of the Ride Instructions

Well it's almost here...just a few more days until the 2019 Bike MS event. Wahoo! Thanks again for fighting MS as a Sugar Bee. Here's some last minute information about the ride:

SATURDAY, JUNE 29

THE START
  • We leave from the Team Sugar Bee starting chute Saturday morning around 6:00 AM. There's 60+ Bees riding this year, so just look for a hive of bright yellow jerseys.
  • If you have to pick up your packet, be at Front Range CC by 5:00 am to allow time for breakfast, luggage, etc.
TEAM VILLAGE TENT #38
  • We're in BIG Team Sugar Bee Tent #38 (alongside Meridian Avenue) decorated in yellow and black.
  • Friends and family of riders can register as a Festival Participant at either of the Information Tents. As a Festival Participant, you will receive a wristband for the beer service, access to dinner, and an event t-shirt.
  • The Awards Ceremonies on Saturday are at 3:00 pm in Fort Collins.
  • We will swarm over to the team photo area at some point that afternoon. Please wear a jersey, polo or Bee T- shirt.
 SUNDAY, JUNE 30
  • Sugar Bees leave at various times Sunday morning and meet up at rest stops along the ride. We finish the ride with fellow Bees who ride at a similar pace and stay at the Finish Line awhile to cheer and enjoy the end of the ride festivities.
Any last minute questions, post them on TSB's Facebook page or Contact Us page and we'll get right back to you.
